Our health team wants to share out this helpful resource: Guidance for When to Stay Home from School and Return to School Related to Illness. We hope this is a supportive guiding doc as we re-enter school settings. And don’t forget to wash your hands!

Mental Health and Wellness Support for Families

We want to make sure that our families are connected to the resources they need.

>Counselor Connection: It is our pleasure to be a part of the Da Vinci Connect family! On this site, which you can reach via this link or through your student’s Canvas account under Parent Center, you will find resources by grade level for students and families, information on how to communicate or schedule check-ins with your counselors, and a lot more. This is something that will grow over time so if there is something you need that hasn’t been included yet please let us know. We are looking forward to meeting each and every one of you. – Nydia & Marcel

>South Bay Connected to access a variety of resources to support families of all ages, from their website: “SBFC’s mission is to improve K-12 students’ social-emotional wellness. We do this by connecting parents, guardians and teens with valuable resources, education and support, as well as reducing stigma around mental health issues and sparking conversations that inspire people to reach out for help when they need it.”

>We also want to be sure that all families know that the Suicide hotline has changed to the new Suicide and Crisis Lifeline three digit dialing code 988. From their website: “When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.” We encourage all families to share and utilize this hotline in addition to the resources available at Connect whenever necessary.
